The firstphase of the proposed revitalization of the former mall site includesconstruction of new residential and commercial buildings on Main Street, a125-room boutique hotel and a piazza that aims to become a “central gatheringplace for Bristol’s downtown offerings.”
The LongIsland-based Renaissance Downtowns, the city’s chosen developer for the 17-acresite, recently submitted plans to land use regulators detailing what it expectsto do with the property during the next eight to 10 years.
Thelong-range plan “includes a total of 22 buildings containing a mix of uses” ona lot that now houses only a single fast food restaurant. Click here for the full story.
