After a week of escalating criticism and growing attention across the nation, Mayor Art Ward this morning agreed to let city firefighters wear pink shirts this month.After "reflecting on the sentiments" of the public, comments at this week's City Council session and his own experiences, the mayor said, he realized the controversy "was taking on an identity larger than the cause."Sean Lennon, fire union president, said he appreciated Ward's "change of heart."More to come.
